The work of installing the first lamppost at Mawa end of Louhjong upazila of Munshiganj started on November 25 last year. The installation of these lampposts and installation of lamps in them was completed on April 17 this year. Then the whole bridge is simply pulled.
On 24 May, the Shariatpur Palli Bidyut Samiti first connected the bridge. At around 8:30 pm on that day, in the presence of the officials of the bridge authority, the work of providing electricity connection was completed at Pier No. 42 at Naodoba end of Jajira upazila of Shariatpur. Later Munshiganj Palli Bidyut Samiti also connected electricity to the bridge. Munshiganj and Shariatpur Palli Bidyut Samiti completed the work of providing electricity connection to each lamp post on May 30.
